I’m a professional cleaner and my client was convinced she knew the color of her floor – my $13 tool proved her wrong
A NEAT freak by trade has given her client’s bathroom floor a whole new lease on life.
The cleaning professional’s client initially thought the hue of her tile was completely normal — until proven otherwise.

Donna Mendoza (@donnamendoza35) filmed herself transforming the home in a viral video on TikTok.
She used a tool to get down to the nitty gritty of it all.
Frugal cleaning whizzes can rejoice that Mendoza’s cleaning hack didn’t break the bank, costing just $13.
Mendoza’s results speak to themselves — revealing a bathroom floor that looked brand new after using the tool.
SCRUB AWAY
The cleaning pro explained that her customer initially thought the dirt on her floor was part of the design.
“When the client thinks her floors have brown and black specks,” she said.
“You pull out your trusty Libman Scrub Broom.”
The No Knees Floor Scrub Brush with Steel Handle by Libman is available from Home Depot, $12.97.
CHECK THE TECHNIQUE
Mendoza scrubbed the floor with the Libman brush, which the homeowner had gone unnoticed for four years.
She specified that she used Pine Sol to dislodge encrusted dirt from the tile.
All-purpose cleaner Pine Sol 80 is available from Home Depot, $14.98.
Mendoza also switched it up with a traditional mop, going back to the Libman brush before using the mop once more.
After finishing up, she poured out the visibly dirty water collected from the cleaning process.
CROWD PLEASER
Viewers of the viral cleaning video chimed in the comment section to discuss the results.
“These textured tiles are the popcorn ceilings of our generation lol,” one wrote.
“The way I would have 100% thought that was the color they were supposed to be, too,” another added.
“Shoutout to all the moms that do this everyday and still come home to cook and clean,” a third commented.
“My mom did this for years and I’m so grateful.”
“I thought my bathroom floor was gray until I spilled bleach on it,” yet another added. “First I thought I ruined it, then I hand scrubbed the entire thing and oh boy.”
“I actually got on my hands and knees with a scrubber to clean mine,” one more wrote. “Good job. This is a lot of hard work.”
