I send my kid to school in stained clothes, I haven’t got time to wash it all, and it’s their fault they get them dirty
A MUM has sparked a fierce debate after confessing she sends her tot to preschool in stained clothing.
Marla Branyan took to TikTok to explain why she was totally fine with her three-year-old daughter showing up to preschool in ”clean, stained clothes”.
According to the parent, believed to be from the USA, her child had stained the clothes whilst at school, she claimed in the video.
“I’m not sending my kids to any type of school, no matter what age, in their 7-day best.
”It’s just not happening unless they are naturally less of a messy kid than my precious little three-and-a-half-year-old baby girl.”
She went on to explain her stance by saying: “She’s messy. She’s living her best life and I will continue sending her in the stained clothes because I can’t afford to keep replacing these pants every single week.”
According to Marla, who posts under the username @marla_branyan, shopping at discount and charity stores, such as Goodwill, was also not as easy – as many of them didn’t have plain leggings in stock.
Sharing her thoughts on the popular platform, the mum added that the vast majority of teachers and daycare staff ”would actually prefer” if the children sported stained clothes – as that way they wouldn’t have to worry about getting them dirty.

In her eyes, there was nothing wrong with kids being ”messy and dirty” – and for her tot, being at preschool is the perfect opportunity for that.
Since being uploaded on social media, where Marla has won close to 11k followers, the clip has racked up a whopping 1.2million views.
Thousands flocked to comments to share their opinion – and it appeared that Marla had left everyone totally divided.
Whilst some agreed with her, others expressed criticism, with one saying she wouldn’t do that as an adult – so why should her child rock clothes that aren’t clean.

Luckily, the reaction was mainly positive, as hundreds raced to show support.
A professional in the industry chimed in: ”As a teacher we don’t “notice” kids coming in stained clothes, we notice when they come in with the SAME outfit 4 days in a row!”
A fellow parent, meanwhile, wrote: ”If it gets too stained, we tie dye it. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.”
”Choosing a school that isn’t a fashion show has been my best decision. Let them be kids and get dirty,” someone else penned.
Another pointed out: ”It is irresponsible to continue to buy new and over consume.”
Marla, who describes herself as the ”sister you didn’t know you needed”, regularly shares parenting-related content on her page.
