‘I’m freaked out!’ gasp Countryfile fans over report on parasites ‘taking over planet’ – and they’re a danger to pets
COUNTRYFILE viewers have been left ‘freaked out’ after a disturbing report about parasites.

However, in more sinister scenes Charlotte Smith was in Devon investigating the increase of ticks in the countryside.
She explained to viewers how the ticks can be as small as a poppy seed, with the most common species in the UK is the Exodus raciness.
Charlotte said: “As its name suggests, it likes to feed on a variety of animals, including cattle, and that’s bad news for farmers like Sam in this part of the country.”

Raging on social media, one fan said: “A once great programme destroyed by non-stop climate change propaganda. The BBC will not stop the scaremongering. #Countryfile.”
A second wrote: “Ticks monitoring on #countryfile Just a box-ticking exercise.”
“Feel like ticks are taking over the planet, a bit freaked out now… #countryfile,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Is it weird to find the info about ticks really interesting.”
Meanwhile, last week Countryfile viewers were left seriously distracted by a weather presenter’s ‘dressed down’ outfit.
Darren caused a stir on social media as he appeared in a chequered shirt and chinos for the bulletin.
It left one fan asking: “Why do weather presenters dress down for Countryfile?”
