Jassim al-Buenain to take over Qatar FA presidency from Sheikh Hamad
June 7 – Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buenain has been elected as the president of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) for a four year-term.
Al-Buenain will serve until 2027 and succeeds Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani, a member of the FIFA Council and chairman of the Qatar Stars League, who became QFA president in 2005.
