Kevin Harlan had a phenomenal call when confetti prematurely fell during the A-10 title game and college hoops fans loved it
Kevin Harlan absolutely delivered here.
There is no wilder time in college basketball than March. You truly never know what you’re going to see from year to year. Sunday’s Atlantic 10 title game between VCU and Duquesne lived up to that weirdness.
And, of course, Kevin Harlan was on the call.
Early in the second half of the game at Barclays Center, someone on the arena staff must have hit a wrong button because confetti started to fall from the rafters while the game was in play.
The officials quickly had to halt the action in order for the court to get cleaned up, but we had to love how Harlan enjoyed the unusual scene with his call on CBS.
Harlan enthusiastically said:
“Oh my gosh, they got confetti falling right now. Confetti is falling on the floor! They’re gonna need to stop play. We can’t see our notes! The players can’t work on this court! Confetti is everywhere!”
Nobody calls the bizarre moments in sports better than Harlan. And fans absolutely loved how he brought excitement to that odd scene.
