Dog narrowly avoids being crushed after it was dumped into a rubbish truck
A lucky dog had a miraculous escape when binmen unknowingly threw him into the back of a rubbish truck.
In CCTV footage from inside the truck the dog, nicknamed Tippie, can be seen being tossed around and narrowly avoiding the crusher blade as it compresses rubbish.
When Tippie was found by workers in Ipswich, Australia, they feared he had been tied up inside a bin bag, however RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty said being flung around inside the truck was what left him wrapped up in debris.
"He was found on site and tangled in rubbish and they initially thought it had been tied up and put in the bag as it was covered in ropes and tape while half in a bag.
"They cleaned it up, gave it food and water and then called the RSPCA where we were then able to assess it for injuries."
