Last Three of the Worlds Northern White Rhinos
Scientists are banking on an ageing northern male white rhino, and two sickly females to save the species from complete extinction. Their hopes are that future generations will evolve following the planned use of a technology known as vitro fertilization, which has never been used successfully with other rhinos. At this conservancy, Hassan Mugambi visited Ol Pajeta conservancy in Laikipia, where the three rhinos are spending their final years. This is his report.
