Fleeing suspect tries to run over officer in stolen car
Multiple police agencies worked together Thursday morning to locate a stolen car and apprehend the thief.
Just after 4 a.m., police said 23-year-old Brian Ngo stole a Toyota Corolla from a parking lot in Lilburn after the owner left the car running for a "brief moment" while arriving at work.
The victim alerted police and told them his phone was still in the car. Police tried to track its movements but after 40 minutes they were still unable to locate the car.
About 20 minutes later, a Gwinnett police officer was notified about an argument at the Collins Hill Library. When the officer approached the two men he noticed the stolen Toyota.
Police said Ngo fought back when they tried to arrest him. He then took off in the car once again injuring the officer and hitting another vehicle.
