West Africa Gold Mines
Some random footage of Ghana. I took this footage in 2007 while locating Gold source for investors. AngloGold Ashanti Mine in Obuasi Ghana is a fantastic place, visible Gold veins in the bedrock at about 2000 ft down into mine. The Gold veins originally extended all the way to the surface and the miners have chased the gold veins down into the bedrock. This mine averages about 400,000 ounces per year. The footage of the beach is "Galamseh" miners chiseling the gold bearing quartz out of the bedrock of Axim Beach, Ghana. http://www.anglogoldashanti.com/
