Over 4,000 migrants arrested in Turkey in a week
http://bit.ly/2rj1r1d | Turkish authorities have over the past week arrested 4,378 migrants and refugees that were either trying to cross into the EU or enter the country clandestinely. Of them, 437 were intercepted at sea, reported the Turkish interior ministry, noting that 130 people were arrested in the same period on suspicion of being involved in human trafficking.
After a heatedly debated agreement two years ago with Brussels, the number of migrants and refugees arriving in Turkey on a daily basis - especially in Greece - has dropped from several thousand to a few dozen.
