A man trying to flee police got struck by his own car after he failed to put it in park before getting out and trying to run away from officers, Fairfax County When officers tried to stop him early Sunday morning, he sped away but then stopped to get out of the car to try to escape on foot. Mount Vernon VA - Video captured a man fleeing from Fairfax County police being hit by his own car as he attempted to escape. Fairfax County police released the video on Tuesday of the event that happened at about 1 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities said 30-year-old Isaac Bonsu led police on a chase and jumped out of the car to led officers on a foot pursuit in the Mount Vernon area of Fairfax County. There is room for optimism over the rights of expatriate citizens after Brexit as the European Parliament's Brexit negotiator, Guy Verhofstadt, said a deal was close. Speaking after a meeting with the British Prime Minister, Verhofstadt said it was possible progress could be made on the issue in the coming days and weeks. Greece is calling on the EU and others to help secure the release of two of its soldiers arrested in Turkey last week. Athens says the pair had been on a border patrol, when they strayed because of bad weather. "Turkey is a member of NATO, an ally of Greece in NATO and this kind of incident needs to be solved via peaceful ways, and after negotiations between the two armed forces," said Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, in Brussels. A large python is pulled out from its hiding place - inside a car bumper. The 10ft long reptile slithered inside vehicle's engine while it was parked next to an apartment block in Pattaya, Thailand, on February 10. A neighbour noticed the snake make its way inside the engine after slithering across the ground and told the driver. Sightseers got the chance of a lifetime to pet Pacific gray whales in the waters off of Baja California, Mexico, in February 2018. In the spring of each year, Pacific gray whales migrate from Alaska to Baja California, Mexico, to give birth to their calves. Tour boats take people onto the bays, and if you're lucky, the mothers and their curious calves will come up to the boat and actually let you pet them.
A 4-year-old boy's comments during a flight in the family's Cessna 152 Aerobat will warm your heart. "He really enjoys flying and is very inquisitive," the boy's father said. "Always pointing out what he sees and hears and asking questions. This was the first time the audio from the plane was hooked up to the camera to capture his comments." The video was filmed over the skies in Long Beach, California, in February 2018.
