Saturday Cinema - on the rails.. and this was the locomotive that heralded in the New Modern Diesel Age - or the demise of the much loved and lamented steam locomotives (irrespective of the pollution). The steam men from Top Shed (Kings Cross TMD) referred to it as The Ice Cream Cart and Box-o'-tricks and were firmly dismissive of it yet it proved the point and within about 8 years steam had gone it's day done....oil ruled the day.

When diesels took over the work of the steam locomotives steam men left in their droves ...not for them the new fangled malarkey of a box of tricks....pppffft!
