Scattered morning storms, hot and humid by the afternoon
What We’re Tracking
- Scattered morning storms
- Hot weather continues
- Weak front Thursday
We are starting off this morning with scattered storms across the area. Don't be surprised when driving into work, you have to drive through some brief downpours. We will battle some cloud cover in the morning, but by the afternoon, we are mostly sunny. We are tracking another chance for storms near the Kansas-Nebraska border later tonight.
The combination of heat and humidity during the early part of this week makes heat indices 105+ degrees possible. Remember to limit time outdoors, find shade if possible, and hydrated.
We're all expected to dry out as we head into Tuesday. Once the dry time begins, temperatures begin to soar into the upper 90s and lower 100s. Past midweek, dewpoints drop into the lower 60s making it more of a dry heat and not so much of a muggy heat.
