Tennessee Legislators Pull Controversial Transgender Bathroom Bill -- Again
A Tennessee bill that would have required transgender students to use bathrooms corresponding to their gender assigned at birth is once again off the table, after protests from LGBT advocacy groups and concerns expressed by the governor.
The lead sponsor of the bill, GOP state Rep. Susan Lynn, announced on Monday that she is removing the bill from consideration, telling The Tennessean that she will "roll the bill over until next year" for further study.
