2026 U20 Mixed Doubles Provincial Championships Recap
North Battleford Curling Club – March 7–9, 2026
The 2026 U20 Mixed Doubles Provincial Championships were held at the North Battleford Curling Club from March 7–9, bringing together Saskatchewan’s top Under‑20 mixed doubles teams for a weekend of fast‑paced and exciting competition. Athletes showcased strong teamwork, strategy, and precision throughout the triple knockout and playoff round as they competed for the provincial title and the opportunity to represent Saskatchewan at the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027! This will be the 60th anniversary of the inaugural 1967 Games!

The event was a triple knockout format with 4 teams making playoffs. One from the A-event, one from the B-event and 2 from the C event.
In the A event, Team Remeshylo/Derksen defeated Team Loudon/Lussier 9-0. In the B-event team Loudon/Lussier fell 9-6 to Lundell/Robson. The C event qualifiers were Team Loudon/Lussier and Team Bailey/Soucy.
In the playoff round, Team Remeshylo/Derksen defeated Team Lundell/Robson 7-2 in the A vs B game. In the C vs C game, team Bailey/Soucy defeated Loudon/Lussier 7-5 to advance to the semi-final. In the semi-final, team Lundell/Robson took on team Bailey Soucey, where they came to the end of their road, losing 7-1. In the final team Remeshylo/Derksen defeated team Bailey/Soucy 10-3 in 6 ends to secure the provincial title in an undefeated weekend.
Congratulations to Melissa Remeshylo and her cousin Dylan Derksen on winning the 2025 Saskatchewan U20 Mixed Doubles Champions.
They will go on to represent SK at the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027! This will be the 60th anniversary of the inaugural 1967 Games! Congratulations to all the teams who competed, and thanks to the Twin Rivers Curling Club for being such great hosts!
