Dan Cowan
It’s never nice to see somebody lose their job, however Dan’s departure is the correct decision for both parties in my opinion. Still a shame things didn’t work out as planned for him though, because he did convey some glimpses earlier on in the campaign, particularly against Alfreton Town where he scored an injury time winner which I will always thank him for. However, Dan turned out to be disappointing in the end because after us getting excited about him signing when he first came in, he was just average. I’m glad that Steve Watson is now being ruthless by silt-shifting and clearing out our deadwood, therefore I trust him to bring the right personnel in who can really push us up the table. We don’t necessarily need a replacement for Cowan as we have plenty of centre halves anyway, and given he was probably one of our highest earners then hopefully we have enough cash to preferably bring in a striker and another winger.
