Rob Apter
This has the potential to be a cracking signing as Rob netted 10 goals in 22 appearances for Bamber Bridge in the Pitching-In Northern Premier League Premier Division. Therefore, he definitely deserves the opportunity to test himself in our league, while it would be very ‘Apt’ if he can continue that impressive scoring streak for us (excuse the pun)! Rob seems like another Charlie Jolley given he is an exciting young attacking player who is hungry to progress, so if things can work out in a similar way to Jolley then I will be really pleased. Considering Sky Bet Championship outfit Blackpool have tied Rob down for the long term it’s obvious they see him as a player who has the ability to progress, which has been evident during his tenure for Scotland Under-19s where he has scored once in two appearances thus far. Hopefully this will turn out to be a great first signing for Steve Watson, and I cannot wait to watch Rob in a blue and white shirt.
