Agree with Barney, Giant's Causeway is nice as part of a tour of the coast, definitely wouldn't be driving all the way there just to see it. Anyone who's going by car, Merseyrail have large secure car parks at Bidston & Birkenhead North stations, [Bidston station is not accessible] Merseyrail trains are going to be every 10 minutes during busy times, but get their early enough as the car parks are likely to fill up.
You can use the car park at Leasowe station too.
