We haven't got the luxury of resting a host of players but I'd definitely leave at least Houghton, Satae and maybe Sao out. If Carlos is fit bring him in and move Griffin in to the forwards. I'd like to see Balmforth and Severs given a go.

Need to be careful though. They'll be up for this and although Championship teams beating a SL team is very rare it does happen. I seem to remember a SL getting totally humiliated a few years ago. The game is very different and I can see from the evidence of my own eyes that previous Saints teams would struggle to break this one down. It certainly wouldn't be the cakewalk some are suggesting - I've seen enough superstar Saints teams destroyed by NRL teams to know that they weren't up against that much in terms of week to week intensity at the time. Yes maybe they should have shown more compassion,(I'm unsure if employment law has been broken) but 'overpaying' staff (like BA were doing comparatively to competitors like Ryanair, EJ etc)) just doesn't work.

We need a clean break from coaches who have been at the club already in some capacity, all the more so if they are inexperienced or have had limited evidence of past success. Powell and Smith are the only 'options' that might prove to be astute exceptions, but the timing is clearly wrong for both of them - Powell is having limited impact at Wire and we'd probably need to wait to the end of the season for Smith.

McGuire, Ward and JJB would all constitute massive risks not unlike Sinfield coming after McDermott. Читать дальше...

Unfortunately i am old enough to remember previous demolitions. South stand (replaced by a mound of sand for years). West Stand (after Bradford, and been an eyesore ever since).
Demolition has never been a problem for us in the past, but putting something up in its place most definitely has!.
I for one will certainly not be celebrating the demolition, until i see something better on the spot it once stood.

Lets all hope that it is the real deal this time.

I assume the club get the website for free as some sort of partnership (surely no-one would pay for such a shoddy site) but what they have not factored in is the cost of such poor engagement with fans.

Sorry to see anybody lose their job in search of success. When he was with Wakey and the gameplan clicked we looked a very good drilled team in attack and defence at the start of his tenure, but as soon as other teams learned how to play against us it seemed we had no plan B to stop the losses coming from every direction. Same with Leeds once the backs got exposed of their speed he seemed to carry on with the same gameplan and unfortunately it got highlighted against Wigan and Hull.
