Looks like Ratchford will be missing for 3 or 4 weeks, Powell HAS to play Thewlis there right? This is his chance to show he is capable of being our long term no. 1, he can’t do that from the wing. Powell had Ashton and Thewlis at Full Back for short periods when Ratchford went off injured but had Mata’utia there most of the remaining game, surely Mata’utia would be too much of a shift around of the three quarters?
Charnley back in on the wing and Thewlis to full back, fairly simple. Would... Читать дальше...

Not even sure what round number it is. Anyway, squad, shorn of the injured Dean Whare and suspended Mitchell Pearce:
Davies, Yaha, Drinkwater, Dudson, Whitley, McMeeken, Garcia, Da Costa, Jullien, Séguier, Goudemand, Laguerre, Romano, May, Le Cam, Napa, Rougé, Franco, Chan, Kasiano, Tomkins.

Whare out for 12 weeks with a ruptured pectoral.
That's a big blow. He's been very quietly effective since he arrived. An opportunity for Laguerre anyway, let's hope he takes it.

Was going to mention this but I forgot.
During, before and after the Warrington game it was mentioned that we had a large pack or larger than Warrington.
Now with the obvious exception of Fifita I don’t think our pack is in any sense ‘large’.
It’s probably the smallest pack we’ve had in years, not that I think that’s a bad thing.
Not sure what the commentators were seeing to be honest. Although I’ve disagreed with those on here who are obsessed by the missing prop issue... Читать дальше...

The Academy Derby is at Easter I think.
Last night's match was that important to you all that you didn't even know which team was playing! Presumably none of you attended to support the future stars of your club.
Some great talent in both Clubs scholarship ranks. Hopefully plenty earn Academy deals when their scholarships end and progress their careers.
Congrats to your youngsters on their win.

But name reverting back a bad thing? Sorry, not for me. I was never happy being a perfunctory adjunct to a RU club where we had averaged nearly three times their crowds at *their ground* a few years before.

Well said. A coach won't make any difference if players have no desire. The likes of currie, widdop and King are playing games half ar$Ed, and that's the ONE thing you can't do if you want to win any game of rugby league.
Lost 28-20. Much better 2nd half
