Arundal failed his hia against York after picking up a head knock . Looking forward to seeing worthington especially with better halfbacks in the squad this year and walmsey will get good service from him . Roberts did ok against York and can see him being a handful with some match fitness under his belt ( rumour on Huddersfield fans forum is he’s off to Newcastle eventually, how much truth to that who knows) gee being back with kav fit and we already look better on paper in the 2nd row . My few pennies worth:
Asiata wasn't his usual reliable rock, had quite a few handling errors, but again much like Inu last week, hopefully that's his one bad game out of the way.
Nene still looks a bit lazy in defence if people come on his inside but nothing will beat him otherwise.
While the ref can make questionable calls about height of tackles, lying on etc, you adapt to it, there is no excuse for giving up yards for dissent and something that needs to be cut out.

They were all awesome.
The stars just weren’t lined up our way.

Want to start by saying I though Childs generally had a good game, but.....
If that was a regular SL game, would Smythies have stayed on the field for those 2 swinging arms to the head ?
Both were penalised, so sufficiently bad enough to be punished, but why wasn't a yellow given, at least for the 2nd ??
I cannot believe that wouldnt have happened in a regular game, but again shows the serious inconsistency of officialdom that imo, is stifling the game and its followers.

The biggest tragedy surrounding the Challenge Cup Final is how SKY, Super League and the RFL have downgraded the importance of the occasion in favour of the Grand Final.
Shifting the dates from one time of the year to another & seeding Super League teams while full time professionalism has made it impossible for lower league clubs to even dream of playing in the final.

Had it not been against my team I’d have been rooting for you guys.
You played great but I felt you maybe went a bit too conservative towards the end, a 2 point lead felt very unsafe with the pace we had on the field.
You’ve got the most important thing in a very good coach.
Huddersfield will be in more big games in the coming years.

I am pleased to see Ben Reynolds answering his critics , me included. He has upped his game. His try in the final was top notch for a stand-off. He is creating tries with his passing and kicking, and he is leading the team around the field as well as getting through a lot of tackling. His only blot in the final was missing that kick for touch. Really good to see him step up. We'll done, Ben!!

Nightmare to get too on coach left at 7am got to Tottenham at 12-15 with half an hour stop. Coming back we was on coach at 6pm ready to go blocked in on coach park it was 7pm when we got on the motorway 15 min stop at services got in Wigan for 11pm .Long day but worth it to watch us win. What a stadium it is superb in every aspect .

Was at the game yesterday and first visit to the new spurs stadium. What a venue what an atmosphere. I was fortunate to use the corporate hospitality and if I may say, the experience was superb. Although I detest football, the facilities and quality of the experience was second to none and far better than any RL or RU can offer at club level. I know we don’t have the stadiums like football as we don’t get the fans anymore(or the bigger footy clubs) but the hospitality and facilities is what brings people in... Читать дальше...
The Hurt
Got home last night about 12 still struggling to handle the fact that we lost .
I kept reading the forums , the match reviews , post match interviews trying to find some solace. But there is none.
I really believed we would win yesterday . In the last two CC finals we played in I doubted we would win but for this one I had really built my self up. To lose like that when we were the better team really hurts.
