I met Robert Hopkins at the Sutton Coldfied football ground one Sunday. It was a testimonial match for Dave Barnett (Romulus coach) between an old Blues XI vs Romulus. All the management of the Roms are huge Bluenoses.
Hoppy played the first half and spent the second half behind the goal standing with me drinking several pints and telling me how much of a chunt Lou Macari was. Such a great guy and he definitely liked a pint or two.
There were several old Blues in the small bar afterwards - Ian Clarkson, Devlin etc. Читать дальше...
There was one lad I know, who had trained for a marathon and completed it a couple of weeks before our football season started. He was saying to me it's the fittest he had been in years, I said you will be knackered after 30 minutes of course he was not having it, well you can guess the rest, 30 minutes in, he was begging me to take him off.
Different training and horses for courses.
great lad my mate knew him well in 80s think hoppy brought his first house on monkspath back then , last seen him at brentford away this season when about 30 of us meet up at paddington and we went on thames boat

yeah near the old Pitmaston School, borderline Acocks Green/Hall Green
Only saying, but I heard he is not a nice person and foxton is even worse.
Hopefully time has made him realise.
I have nothing against the jam and they have made some great records.
I've still got every single one the tops I got as a kid and carried on collecting them up to now (sad I know), home and away (and 3rd kits) back to the patrick kits in the 80's just after the original Adidas ones. Also got a match worn Andy Kennedy top.

Thongs would still call him a DVB though
I still have the mark one white away shirt, for some reason it always reminded me of a Swedish club in the day.
This was kind of confirmed when a Swedish couple asked who the team was, whilst on holiday in Gran Canaria.
Ward End Boys and Hodge Hill Harriers

Yea I did, I called the shop and they said all the seats they have available are the same as online.
I preferably don't want to wait until the renewal date is up and then potentially completely miss out on upper tilton seats and have to pay Kop prices

Following that it was Wythall rangers then Redhouse, then the Greville and then about 8 years at Wake Green Wanderers in the South Birmingham.
Had many battles against Brookside, Tyseley Dinamo / Tigers, Langley and especially Weston Wanderers ( from Acocks Green ) who we beat in the Final of the Jeff Hall shield or Roy Ashley Shield, cant remember which but we won both and the first division to win the treble
Whats the point of that mate, buy 2 together in the best seats available in the tilton and then move if 2 better seats become available, ask them at the ticket office to inform if this should happen. Its unlikely though because our s/ t holders are special :D
Might be an option for the renewal date to pass then ask as, in theory, there might be some decent options
