Sheff Wednesday Predictions (16 replies)
First goal will be important Saturday, Blues get it and I can see a 3v0 home win. Their confidence in on the floor and lots of rumours that monk has lost the dressing room.
What say you?

I apologise. I shown my ignorance and I'm not proud.
The top three teams in the SHA fantasy football all have Grealish in their teams.
As someone who has never picked a Villa player in fantasy football or backed them to win a game in any predictions, am I still childish at 60 years of age.
Couldn’t do it. I would never want any type of help from him. If I was on fire and he had the last glass of water on earth, I’d smash it over his head.
If you have him you shouldn’t be allowed to win!

No, not the achingly cool hipster of the same name who posts on here..
Now I often struggle to keep up with the modern parlance in football, CAM's , inverted wingers, false number 9's etc, but the latest one I see is people saying that a (midfielder) can play as a "number 8". Now I know what a number 10 is, but what is a number 8? I'm guessing a central midfielder of some description.

England's World Cup winning side had Alan Ball and Bobby Charlton playing what I think of as a number 8 role. I don't think we had a number 10. Hurst was a striker with Hunt picking up the pieces and Peters arriving in the box from deep positions.
When I think of the number 10 role I think of Johnny Giles, Bobby Hope, David Silva, that sort of player. But then when you think of the great number tens you got all sorts. Messi, Maradona, Law, Vowden (only kidding).

The Aston Villa striker was hurt in the 1-1 draw with Brentford, hobbling off in the second half after a heavy challenge by Ethan Pinnock

My lad wrote this for MIB/Joys...
Won't boo Monk
Like Rowett, I liked him and what he brought to the club and the fans as I thought both restored some unity after the carnage that had gone before them
Would take him or Rowett back in a heartbeat over Pep
Just my opinion
Each to their own though
Obviously want the 3 points for us
mad
Can only see VAR magnifyiing the stitch ups as far as Blues are concerned.
The cries of vendetta will be that much louder if there is a panel adjudicating rather than one hapless bloke in the middle
Absolutely barmy!
Have a look at Barcelona’s latest signing.
Because Dembele is out with a long term injury they can sign an ‘emergency’ player and as all players in Spain have a buy out clause they have just been able to pick whoever they like from a lower side, pay the buy out fee and sign them outside the window!
Leaves Leganes staring down relegation, with the top club pinching their top scorer and no way for them to sign a replacement!
There’s a great documentary about him on BT Sport currently.
