Birmingham City beat Barnsley 2-1 at St Andrew's but they still had to name teenagers on their bench
Birmingham put breathing room between themselves and the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Barnsley amid fan protests against the owners.
Much needed and if can follow that up with another against Peterborough then hopefully we can kick on.
Henandez without doubt MOTM
Mengi reads the game well for a young lad his sprint back on one of their counters was wonderful to see.
Big shout to Juke too his usual warrior performance.
Brilliant. The banners, the timing of walking to the corporate seats, the songs, the advertising boards outside the ground, the backing for the team and Lee Bowyer. All done without trouble and maintaining the reputation of the fans.
Well done to everyone involved in organising and those who took part. Very proud of today, I didn't think I'd see it to be honest. Now to keep the pressure on.

There was a lot more than 300 marching through Digbeth.
Hernandez could be very important for us until end of the season. Good finish today and thought he linked up with JJ well. Get Deeney back in the mix, Chong back and Taylor Richards and we're dreaming again...

Who are they playing against today? I’m watching the match on sky and i’m not sure they’ve mentioned the opposition yet!
They’re getting every single decision too. Kazim-Richards challenged Samba in the air. The keeper gets to the ball first and has both hands on it so the striker grabs his arm.
Ref lets them play on, commentary team ‘that’s not a foul, the keeper needs to be stronger’
No wonder they’re doing ok if they keep getting away with stuff like that!
It’s my first game back since the passports were introduced (I’m lucky enough to have gone away).
How much of a delay do the passports cause? Wondering how much time I need to account for
If ever there was a game to drop the 3 at the back formation, today is the day. We have the players for an effective 4-4-2.

I did something I've never done on Tuesday which is leave/turn off early.
Feeling completely disengaged from the club currently and so I'll be on the golf course during kick off where at least I'm in control of my own shiteness.

Can't see anyone recently (on here anyway) diminishing his life ?

First of 3 massive games. They're in as big a mess as we are on the pitch, maybe a bit worse with only 14 senior pros available tomorrow.
Need to get the win even if it just bounces in off someone's backside!
Blues to win 2v0
Hoping for a scrappy 1-0
Don’t care who gets the goal or where it comes from
We lose and it will be toxic towards the team and gaffer
Might just be attitude with this guy but watched him in a couple of U23 games earlier in the season and he didn’t look the part for them.
Needs to learn the first ingredient of being a player to work hard.
I’m amazed there is so much vitriol aimed at Bowyer by some.
Yes, he should revert to 4-4-2
Yes, the football is awful.
But! We are currently 9 points clear of relegation, despite a couple of surprise results last weekend. Maybe, just maybe, LB thinks we have enough in the tank to keep trying the same formation and style until it clicks.
Maybe he’s wrong. But he is not an experienced manager in the grand scheme of things.
Perhaps we give him... Читать дальше...
