TEAMtalk have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a potential move for Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs in January.
It has been reported by various outlets over the last few weeks that signing a centre-back is a priority for Spurs in January (Football Insider), with a whole host of names mooted as potential targets.
GiveMeSport claimed a couple of weeks ago that Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly, Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Ko Itakura and Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah are at the top of the Lilywhites’ wishlist.
It was subsequently reported by 90 min last week that Tottenham are also keeping tabs on Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo and Club America’s Sebastian Caceres.
A couple of days ago Calciomercato.it claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s men are also exploring a move for Gleison Bremer and that Juventus are considering offering the Brazilian a new contract to ward off the interest.
Perr Schuurs remains a target for Tottenham
TEAMtalk have now alleged that Bremer is not the only Serie A centre-back that Tottenham are eyeing, with Shuurs also said to be on the club’s radar.
The report claims that Spurs have made checks on the Torino defender ahead of the January window but it is revealed that the defender’s recent ACL injury could potentially scupper a transfer.
Spurs Web Opinion
Shuurs is expected to miss the majority of the season if not the whole of it after his recent ACL injury. So, that would have likely ended Tottenham’s interest in the 23-year-old.
