Since the sale of Lucas Bergvall to Tottenham, it seems his former (and current) club Djurgardens may be set for further benefits as part of the deal, including a partnership with the Premier League side. Now, the club’s sporting director Bosse Andersson has discussed the merits of the proposal.
The January transfer window ended with Spurs picking up one of the hottest talents in Europe, with the £8.5m acquisition of Lucas Bergvall from Djurgardens (Daily Mail).
Speaking on the club’s socials, Tottenham’s technical director, Johan Lange claimed the player has ‘great potential’ and Ange Postecoglou has revealed how excited he is to get to work with the 18-year-old next season.
A recent report from Football.London included further details of the arrangement to bring Bergvall to North London, with add-ons, a potential friendly, and the idea of a partnership emerging between Spurs and Djurgardens.
Djurgardens are excited about Spurs partnership
Not one to miss out on an opportunity, it seems Daniel Levy has been laying the foundations for a beneficial arrangement for both parties. Now, Djurgardens’ sporting director has commented on the matter.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Bosse Andersson said: “There are lots of things that we have discussed and that is why we want to meet. They are intrigued to meet us, then we will get back to them about it. We’re going to meet in London, we’re invited, and we’re going to discuss a partnership.
“Then we’ll see what kind of exchange we can have. [Spurs sending players on loan] could be one of the possibilities. A partnership can mean a lot.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I like the sound of us being able to send our youngsters on loan to Djurgardens. They are a well-run club and clearly have a knack for developing talent, so it could prove to be very beneficial for both sides.
