Whatever is wrong with our defence it starts further in field. People there are not doing their jobs and thus the wide men are hung out to dry.

The better more experienced the wide men the less obvious it is. However Croft and especially Minns are not vey good and they can’t cope.

They aren’t mugs but I fancy us for this. Since Eccles arrived much more positivity around the squad and it seems quite a settled squad. Shame Sam Hall not in but I think Tigers have quite a lot of injuries so he’ll be needed for cover.

They are still the best at what they do. The difference now is I think we have the abilities to counteract that and the fight to take it to them.

It's no longer a foregone conclusion when we meet, but they are still probably favourites albeit a -2-6 point start with the bookies rather than 12-18 and you'd still lump on.
