10% more to pay in advance/online than it was on the day today. I know it's only a couple of quid but it will encourage some people to pay on the gate rather than buy beforehand, and then there's always the chance they could change their mind due to the weather etc.

In an attempt to be more optimistic in 2023, another following on from the recent posts, but this one for those who we’ve signed that you didn’t expect anything from, but they turned out to be good for us.
Fozzard for me, looked like an old man held together by tape when we signed him and I thought we got a dud, turned out to be great for us and beyond.
Mark Gleeson as well, not technically a signing but he just turned into a really useful player.

Did anyone else notice that a small section of the Steel Girders have been painted White. Initially, I thought it might be rust prevention paint, but I think the existing grey paint would do that job.

Not once in 80 minutes did I see a divet, it did not appear to cut up in anyway despite a very wet couple of weeks.

We need a midfielder who cover across the midfield, either at 6, 8 or 10. Ounahi gives you that, he's also young and not particularly injury prone. Phillips doesn't suit the Red bull system, and has only gotten more injury prone in the last few years.
I'm not sure we'll sign Ounahi, but he's definitely the type of midfielder we need.

Yeah I think the practice for contested restarts will continue with the tactics of when they'll be used (and when not) only becoming clear as the competition starts. Ie if we're 4 up with 10 to go in a league game I'd imagine the ball will go long, but not in preseason.

American Football pro teams seem to be averaging around 70,000, which apparently represents 98% of seats sold.
My mate in Dallas has been on the waiting list for a Cowboys season ticket since 1989.
College football is massive too, I saw Tennessee v Ole Miss a few years ago as part of an 80,000 crowd.

The price of the season tick and match day tickets aren’t the number one issue. They are relatively cheap in comparison to other sports in the country.
The issue is there aren’t enough fans of Wigan Warriors. Plenty of football clubs in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 get bigger crowds and are in similar type of towns to Wigan.
