That’s not great. I can see why we aren’t focussing on players from the heartlands but I’m surprised there aren’t one or two who fancy the challenge as for Aussies surely London would be the number one destination for second stringers who fancy a couple of years in the Northern Hemisphere funded by playing rugby and whatever. If we can’t get them in over the closed season we are in some strife. On the plus side our staring 13 looks competitive (mid table) but really not enough players, no incomings on the back room staff... Читать дальше...

Interesting interview with Mike Eccles in RugbyLeagueHub.com for their Long Reads section. Admits starting the season with the current squad size is "a risk" and regards further recruitment " Unfortunately that's going to take a bit of time, particularly if we're bringing them from overseas, which is where we're looking".

Assuming I get a refund from the Hudders cancellation I hope to go along to this. I would expect to see Dunning's selection at least start off as how it will for the first game of the season at home to Whitehaven on 5th Feb.

Without trawling through the plans, have we gone green with the East stand, solar panels? Wind turbines etc, it would make sense in that it would keep energy bills down and help with climate change.

Maybe we (and Bongser includes himself) should knock the negativity on the head. Mr Beaumont has again sploshed the dosh in an effort to attract new fans/packed house and (for all of our sakes) it is to be hoped that he makes his money back and more!

Retracting his previous statement, Bongser will turn up betimes to make sure that he is numbered amongst the gate.

As I understand.. their attendances are currently topping out at around 500. If that can be elevated over 23/24/25 to around a thousand, I think that would be seen as very successful.

Certainly the ownership group is very media savvy and has positively affected the fortunes of the club beyond measure.
