Des, as a former ref myself you are spot on... My only advice would be talk to the players and stand no messing. Set your stall out from the start..

Yes on an empty stomach quite possible then
It’s Saturday and I’m glad to see everyone is pissed
I beg to differ, I've only had a sandwich all day.
It’s impossible to get pissed on Carling
Moretti is ok actually But i have an Italian mate from milan who pisses himself laughing when he sees it served for £5 a pint.
Poets of the Fall
Of the ones in British pubs I suppose it has to be carling, but my favourite lagers are Sapporo,Kirin Ichban and Lapin Kulta.
Carling. end of.
In fact I'm pissed up right now on it.
I'm a big fan of Moretti and Super Bock
Same 1664.
I like lager but they all taste pretty much the same. Some are slightly better than others but the differences are small compared to the real ale world.
So what is the best or your favourite lager from the the readily available ones in pubs?
For me it’s a toss up between Kronenbourg and Peroni only because they taste of something, and don’t taste of chemicals
Download - good laugh
Sparks - got a free ticket, really enjoyed it
Picture books (brilliant live, recommend these next time they do a gig in Brum)

Saw John Cale in Liverpool for the 50th Anniversary of the Velvet Underground and Nico. That was absolutely unreal.
Might go see Happy Mondays, dunno

Send off four players from each side in the first few minutes. With less players on the pitch you will find it a lot easier to ref the game.
Went to Guns n Roses in Ireland.
Want to go and see them in America.
Steve Hackett in May, utterly brilliant, Shadow Of The Hierophant is forever burned on my memory, along with Blood On The Rooftops. Going to see The Musical Box at Symphony Hall next Friday.
Best 2 gigs this year??
Vintage Trouble at the Slade Room in Wolves
Kentucky Headhunters at the Robin last Monday.
The Wedding Present were great on the George Best tour this year
Let me check it out.
EDIT..hmm it's not bad but why do XTC overcomplicate things? On too many of their songs just when you think "Genius" they balls it up and go all useless. Like Theo Walcott.
Dear God. The song, not a statement on your post.
