"You're late back, where have you been?"
"I've been up the club with the lads watching the pole dancing"
"Oh, right. Who won?"
He was probably our best player the year we went down under Br*ce.
Maik Taylor is a good shout.
All the week before I go from complete and utter dread to fantasising about last minute goals against them.
Don't think anyone can actually enjoy the game but the emotion of it, the agony and the ecstasy is what we watch football for.
If you can't relish games when the stakes are highest, what's the point?
Forssell was still good, but his first season on loan was undoubtedly his peak with us.
Pennant? One goal v Wigan one assist v Southampton Walter pandiani!
However got good re sale so a begrudging yes, I hated the smarmy little shit!
Muamba
Pennant
Maik Taylor
Shotton
Other than Seb Larsson I'm struggling
Again DES..you are way off.
Bruce is a fat headed, arse licking cvunt who has spent every second of his job at Seal Central telling everyone how this was his dream job.
Fvuck him...really, really fvuck him. He's in the same category as Eck.
it was a French colony and they pulled out when it got hot....so if they wouldn,t then why should we have gone in,to save the French pride!,,also under Wilson we couldn,t afford it..,he bankrupted us as labour always do,he also had other things on his mind which history will one day reveal.
I'll enjoy watching it Q, you win..
Sooo nervous! Before the game, if we win ecstatic if we lose, so down it's not true, I can shake off any defeat, I'd forgotten the 7.0 Liverpool game before I reached the car, but not with vile, the 5.1 I didn't really get over till the league cup QF.
We absolutely must beat em, I wont harangue Bruce, I loved the bloke but on Sunday week it's vital we beat em.

I'm sure it is very hard and very physically demanding but that doesn't make it a sport. Is ballet a sport? It's very physically demanding and requires great body control.
**edit** what about those girls who do the ropes in the circus? Is that a sport?
Or the trapeze artists? Should that be in the Olympics?
Usually they fill me with dread but this will be a special one as my lads first ever game so hoping we at least put on a good performance
He'll go back to derby.
You aint wrong.

I feckin hate the day. Living out here it's vile country and I tend to get arsey with the cvunts. Hate the feeling of guilt next day, for the hatred. I'm 55 FFS.
Having said that...if we do the cvunts...I'm all over Roojelly town :D
A lot of people who visit Dublin only see the tourist bits and are oblivious that it is on the coast, the best part for me is catching the dart up and down the bay and visiting the many little places on route. Malahide is nice and climbing Bray head and walking in howth.

Can't wait.
Love the derbies, it's what the game is all about.
Yes 'strange' was the wrong word to use but maybe if they put series like the Vietnam and the recent OJ one on at 9pm on BBC 1 instead of BBC 4 peoples viewing might change.
Doubtful though

One weird thing, is how much of the footage you recognise at times from what was shown over here. The closing image of episode 8 was probably one of the most telling in terms of the American experience for small town young men.
