Making the move may have set his family up for life, but another year at Palace may well have established him as a player that would be a first-team choice at a bigger club, rather than being sent back to the youth squads.
He has done well to get himself a permanent fix at a decent level, but how... Читать дальше...
It's difficult isn't it because your head says that staying put is the smart move. However... when faced with the riches and the glamour and prestige of a big(er) club, how many of us as youngsters would actually turn it down?
There's the other reality that most players who show potential do not develop beyond that. So you risk spurning a big money move and never making it anyway.

Genuine pace is lacking everywhere. As is youthful energy. Ball retention is non-existent.

I'm missing it already, I probably watched 85% of the games it has been a brilliant tournament this year. Far more entertaining than the football.
Ginger Boo or better known as Boohey.
What a character he was and a great footballer, I heard he had a trial at the vile, the bloke said put this vile shirt on, boohey told him where he could put that, needless to say there was no trial that day.
It was a mixture of Acocks Green and Sparkhill guys who used to stand at the top of the lop stand, always a great laugh and you can imagine the antics they used to get up to in town afterwards and also away matches.
Unfortunately boohey passed away a good few years ago... Читать дальше...

I can't see Arsenal winning anything for a while. They look like they are on the verge of falling away from the rest of the so-called top clubs.
