On the Wigan today site he says he’s contracted in 2023 and will 100% be with us. He says he’s got a contract and that won’t change.
He certainly sounds more confident then just saying he’s under contract.

It would’ve been an insult to his fitness levels and consistency had we not gone long term on it. He’s so good and finally seems to be getting the praise across the game that he deserves. He’ll have a huge leadership role to play over the next year or so, as guys like Leuluai and Isa walk away, so it’s great to get him sorted.

Not sure if he’s injured or dropped. Not in the squad though.

You play Hookem at 7
Lovodua at 6
Balmforth on the bench to spell houghton
Mitch at centre, one of the teams best defenders yet can't get a game
I'd even put Wynne back at fullback
Need to stop playing players in terrible form, low on confidence and who have been told they aren't needed anymore.

Really impressive last night. Whilst the second half was scintillating, I was pleased with the first half. Salford came to play and pushed us all the way in the first 40. If that was against Saints, Catalans, Hudds I think the pundits would have been praising the intensity but alas..
I think it has to be said, aside from the obvious back 3 being excellent, I thought Isa was brilliant. Definitely proved his selection right (also me wrong!) and showed that he might nail down that right centre spot for the next few weeks. Читать дальше...
It begs the question really of how poor are Warrington? I suppose we might find out when they play Wakefield tomorrow.

Kasiano has looked alright tonight, especially considering the extreme 34 degree heat normally saps the big fellas.

One of my fave games of all time at BV. Tries galore and 2 evenly matched sides.
Big Ali was sublime that game and that last minute try from LK was amazing.

Didn't see the game so don't know who it was. Iv'e seen the tries this morning but with no commentary. I will guess it was Bill Arthur though. He is just like Eddie. Sounds disappointed when Wigan score a try. He get's players names wrong EVERY match and even gets mixed up with players who have different ethnicity and couldn't look any different. O'Connor is also utterly terrible. Dave Woods is good. He is a Wigan fan but you wouldn't know it when he commentates as he is impartial but it was blindingly... Читать дальше...
No one seems to know how to make a decision as to whether to try and catch it before it bounces or leaves it to bounce and then decide what to do. This happened at least twice last night and in previous matches. It's a bad habit we are creeping into. Is it lack of communication or what.

Under Price we were bottlers. We bottled the play offs when favourite and we bottled the first game back after covid infront of the home fans vs Hudds. When we were favourites we couldn't handle it. We did saints in the CC because we weren't fancied.
Powell is alluding to this when we go behind against teams this season, he's constantly mentioning how me can't handle the pressure of chasing the game.
This squad needs an overhaul, if not in skill, in mentality and Powell is seemingly... Читать дальше...

Dixon should score sackfuls at 'Dale. His record with you and KR speaks for itself but it he was only ever going to play Violin II at Leigh and with the emergence of Brand as a wing and then the acquisitions of Inu & Fergy he's now at the back of the double basses.
You should make an offer.

We also got knocked out at home, in the first round, 3 years in succession, against much lower spending clubs. And we played dreadful attacking rugby resulting in decreasing attendances.

Yeah, that must be his best performance at wing, we were brilliant for 20/30 minutes in the second half. If performances like that become the norm we should pay him what he wants!!!!
He wasn’t committal at all in his post match interview over his future though, I liked Peets interview where he said they should be as honoured to play for Wigan as we should that we have them, also acknowledging the fact he wants to go to the NRL, I saw that as him saying that he should...
