Humberside now reporting Taylor will miss the start of the season with a serious foot injury.
Hes out for an 'extended period of time'. Doesn't sound good at all.
No Evans, Taylor and Cator for the start of the season.
Get an injury to Sao or Satae and we're up the creek already

You seem to have mistaken me for a conspiracy theorist? I'm not a covid denier, I'm tripple jabbed, wear a mask and fully believe it's happening. In reality, the deaths are mainly from the very vulnerable in society, the people who would have died anyway, but of the next thing they caught or the next fall they had. Every life lost has it's own tragedy attached to it of course and there have unquestionably... Читать дальше...

Renewal deadline delayed to 27th Jan as club have received feedback that fans are unsure about Covid and potential lockdowns.
Makes sense and fingers crossed we are on the way down on this wave.

I'd expect any decision on loans to be made at the end of the window, but yes, it wouldn't be wise to loan anyone out at the moment

Because if there 100,000 vaccinated and 100,000 unvaccinated or 1million of each then there would far more of the unvaccinated hospitalised, in icu and die. Never mind how less likely you are to co tract or transmit in the first place.
So you are far more likely if you are unvaccinated to experience one of those 3

Leeds threatening to ban parents for 1 year who allow their kids to run on the pitch at the end of the game. What are the stewards doing? Does this happen at other grounds?

Well the news that season tickets are only 8% down on the pre pandemic season is really great news given the issues the game has had over the last couple of seasons. I see the prices are frozen now at Christmas prices.
More positive news for the club as I am sure this was a an area where they thought a big hit would affect the recruitment.
With the spend on the ground i.e. the new lights and other matters spent by the club we are clearly with the stadium news definitely in an upward spiral. Читать дальше...

Clubs have squads of 30 players so whats the problem? Close contacts dont have to isolate anymore so as long as you have 17 players out of 30 who dont have Covid, no reason to postpone.
The 48-0 idea is a great one and will stop those clubs from last season who had 2 positive tests (their 2 best players) looking for a postponement.

Covid is infinitely more serious and more deadly. Hope that helps.
Also this stuff people keep trotting out about Covid not being the main cause of death really is very silly and is them deliberately trying to downplay the pandemic for whatever reasons, massively misunderstanding a tiny bit of knowledge they seem to have picked up along the way.
Does any Super League Team go into the season with three recognised halfbacks .

Wakey follow Bradford in stating the obvious: vax status will be a big issue for signing or renewing players. This will apply to all clubs in the end, it's just inevitable you'll pay less for people who probably won't play as much.

Great to see the bbc are live streaming the first round game between Orrell st james and the British army on Saturday,15 jan ,then streaming Rochdale hornets v Midland hurricanes on Sunday the 30th of Jan. It seems that at least the BBC are taking the challenge cup seriously even though SKY and at times the RL themselves have downgraded its status from one of the finest sporting events in our calendar, but the only one that encompasses the whole of RL not just the elite teams in the sport .

I bought the game on our league to watch on Boxing Day evening... although thanks to a Covid alert I ended up watching on my phone in bed with no sound!
I thought there were some good signs, Murphy and Hall particularly.. Harry Bowes applied himself well despite switching positions... I’m liking the look of Aydin... Crowther put himself about... young Poching looks a player to watch as his confidence grows... nobody let themselves down and I really enjoyed the game ... despite the final score. Читать дальше...
Very difficult situation for all sports but especially team sports. Im far from a fan of the governing body but they are in a bad spot with this. Not sure how you can handle it well really.
