Whats the point? Save the money and add it to next seasons budget and buy better quality players.

Had we got rid of Thompson we might have kept Hurrell.
Him and Newman as centres with decent halfbacks would have seen the best of him.

I'm really pleased with Richard Marshall being appointed for this role. I liked Anderson being at the club, I don't think it's a coincidence that out youngsters looked better prepared for first team rugby than I can remember under his charge. I wish both of them well in their future roles.

Geoff singing the praises of both Willie and the club for the initiative to get new players ( Jai whitbread) to get in touch with a past player and asking about what it meant to them running out in the red,white and blue . The little pocket rocket is made up saying it really makes him feel part of the club and will be watching how we go with renewed interest . Brilliant by the club IMO ,and certainly going the right way both on and off the field .

Ironically I think he would have been a lot better for us this year with the new set up but obviously wasn’t to be.

I don’t think Saints fans will be as forgiving when Newman skips round him when he’s out of position in defence though.

Let's get some rugby chat going.

How will we do this season, realistically? Lots of talk of culture change (does that mean there is an agreement that standards had slipped, if so since when and who's fault was that - the causes around this).

Short term, will we see tries scored can we manage more than a try a match?

Have we realistically resolved the sub standard goal kicking problem, who will be our main kicker when our main kicker hasn't even started training yet due to injury (or if he has apologies I haven't seen it).
