Is this guy possibly our new long-term #13? How good can he be?
Super League top tackler last year, joint young player of the year with KPP at the club awards. Great handling skills and looks to have a real mind for the game. Had a hand in all four of the first half tries before he came off (scoring one himself). Maybe could do with a bit more size but he's looking very promising atm. For some reason I don't tend to think of him as an automatic starter when thinking about our best line up but maybe he should be? Читать дальше...

Go on then, as a sensitive soul please enlighten us on the training ground injuries bearing in mind Scurr, Murphy and Jewitt were injured in a game, England (match injury 2021) and Kibula are still recovering from last seasons injuries, Doyle as I understand picked up a knock against Batley. As I understand, Hall and miller picked up hamstrings in training and Lilley had some kind of freak injury were his knee has gone running with no one near him. If there is a problem with training please let us know

Works fine for the rugby union.
No interruption of the play.
We should home lots of premium advertisers want that space. It increases our value to a broadcaster.

A decent run out against a decent side in Batley. Batley will do well this season I feel, They had plenty of shape in attack and pressed on our line when they had the opportunity, a lack of possession meant the game got away from them. Leroy looked back to his best, every chance he got he was offloading the ball and creating chances, leutele looked sharp on the other side, Fages was excellent and both Levi and AOB great from acting half. We look to have some pace in the side too. steady game for... Читать дальше...

I couldn't give a toss what he does in the community, it's what he does on the pitch that matters and Austin had a handful of decent games. Really looking forward to Headingley now to give him the abuse I usually save for Hughes. I'd also have Bridge over Austin everytime.

This coming year should see a very different style of play and it could well suit some players at the expense of others. I am happy to see everyone in the squad start off with a clean slate, what happened last year is history and I would hope the new coach gives everyone a fair crack of the whip before consigning them to the Reserves. I still have concerns about the loss of Hilly but on the plus side we seem to have more competition for places this year than last. Plus the small group of Academy... Читать дальше...
Does anyone know if you can pay on the gate for Stef's friendly & which parts of the ground will be open ?

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before, but….
Given that C4 is wholely funded though adverts has anyone got any idea how this is going to work for games?
Would we be happy to accept “in game” adverts, say during stoppages for kicks for goal, kick offs etc?
It doesn’t seem feasible for C4 to show the game uninterrupted due to loss of revenue.
Thoughts?

Headingley should be ok if social distancing returns given the number likely to attend. Both the Bash & Magic events are the products of delusional minds & very poorly supported if you compare it to Quins Big Game 13 & a little less than Sarries will get at White Heart Lane.

Every so often RBA reminds us that he is a Rovers fan, hates Hull and tries to make us look bad by talking rubbish.

He doesn't need to pass or kick, Gale and Connor will do those bits. Shaul's strength is running. He can run like roadrunner. Just let him play loose and support in the way Shaun Edwards and Danny Mcguire in his younger days did. His speed of running in the open space will do the rest. He's the best running player we have.
Which is why they are keen to bring in 3 Leeds lads on loan, pay v little and hope like hell Leeds don’t suffer injuries and recall them. If Leeds have a relatively injury free season we get 3 decent players costing v little, if they get recalled it’s not cost us financially

Sounds like some ambitious long term plans and with the appointment of Riding and Shenton feels like a bit of extra investment in this area.
First game of the season. Glad we've had a few friendlies to get up to speed. Think Murphy and Scurr picked up knocks yesterday, hopefully not serious. I'm presuming that England, Kibula, Hall and Miller are out longer term.
I'd go for the following - if fit.
Kear
Dawson Jones
Evans
Gill
DFJ
Patton
Jowitt
Crossley
Doyle
Walker
Murphy
Scott
Evans
Flanagan
Baldwinson
Scurr
Wallace

I imagine the lack of threat out wide is why we've gone for a completely new halfback pairing.
In terms of Fusitu'a it was more around injuries then COVID than any burnout, although its obviously true he hasn't had much rugby in the last two years. The difference between him and pretty much any winger we've had recently is the potential is there if he's physically fit. If he can get to the sort of shape he has been in previously (and at 27 with no obvious... Читать дальше...
