Yeah the main thing holding us back now is the physical conditioning, there's no way players at 18-22 will be at peak and the Goldens weren't either at that age.

At this level a 10% improvement is significant so let's see how we go. I think we all see the club improving. The spirit has been looking good, I just want to see us putting in more dominant performances where we should be, and being difficult to beat every game. Not too long now!

Warrington Wolves • Re: Cherry Popping Time - Help Needed

PS was Boxing Day 1993 when Jiffy played against Widnes for the first time since leaving them? I seem to remember a victory?

EDIT: Found it…. It was the 28th not 26th, and we won.

https://youtu.be/Z6WHcCUMhug

10 minutes 47 seconds in to that video. The state of that pitch at ‘Jurassic Park’ as we knew Widnes’ ground back then. That was my first season as a teenage fan. The next match (follows on the video) was the famous match against Wigan with the decision that ‘lost us the season’ as we used to say. Читать дальше...

Rochdale Mayfield Dig Deep to Beat Wigan St Patricks In Challenge Cup

Two weeks into the new year and the Betfred Challenge Cup competition for 2022 was already well underway as two towns synonymous with Rugby League Rochdale and Wigan, saw lower league sides Rochdale Mayfield and Wigan St Patricks set out on the long path to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and this year’s Cup Final.

I'd never heard of The Sportsman doing live games until RWB mentioned it above, but having just watched the first half, I have to say that the coverage is excellent and the game is very entertaining too with some excellent rugby on display from both sides

Warrington Wolves • Cherry Popping Time - Help Needed

Finally made it over here from SA and planning to come to the game on the 29th Jan - my first time at the HJ and the first time I will have seen the Wire live since Boxing Day 1993.
Bringing my wife and 5-year old daughter (both new to the UK) so my question - which stand should I book tickets in for the nicest family atmosphere with a good view of us hammering Wigan?
You can't imagine how excited we all are, so any advice for making it a real family treat would be hugely appreciated - Thanks lads and lasses! Читать дальше...

Overall i think its so so difficult for the average person in the street to juggle and balance all the information thats available to us. It's also a natural human trait find support for our own views, anyone remember Andrew Wakefield? Look at the damage he did,!! But i can quite understand people accepting his view, if it supported there own concerns...

I remember that Leeds game well, great day out in the big city for the Trinity faithful. Best thing I can recall about Baggy was that the opposition fans hated him, we’ve not really had that many type of players in recent years, too clean cut for our own good at times.

Not sure about that, Fifita has been winding them up since day one. Truth is you only need one, anymore and they become liabilities.

Leeds Rhinos - southstander.com • Too many reasons to live

Interesting take about Brian Mac.

Whilst not his greatest fan, I have every sympathy with him over this situation-perhaps not how it was handled.

It was fairly obvious in the second half of his career that making 40 tackles a game defending towards the middle was not going to work for Sinfield. Thus he needed to play in the halves and 3 into 2 simply didn’t go.

Is there any doubt Burrow is a Leeds legend who impacted many many games with his unique skill set? No

Centre I believe. I can’t recall seeing much of him, in fact it’s been tough to see much of any of the young lads these past couple of seasons with all the Covid disruption. The bits I’ve seen of Nicholson has been extremely impressive, so it’ll be good to see both step up.
