I think Kear said there is no point spending big bucks on a 3rd half, as they cost the most, if you have an academy that provide cover. I still don’t think this rules out a DR from Hull in this position just adds strength to not signing a perm 3rd HB when other options are available at a fraction of the cost

NhS staff have apparently been resigning in record numbers of late, and recent surveys suggest many more are on the brink of quitting. Cancelling their annual leave would push many more to conclude they have no future.

The question was is it really so far fetched to call people back in from their leave, and I would say that the answer is yes. It would be the ultimate insult to a jaded and disenfranchised workforce.

Clearly we don’t have very deep pockets at the moment and I think money is better spent elsewhere particularly in midfield.

If we’re to get into top half consistently though we need some more financial firepower

Agree with both. 12m is a very good deal for an England player. I think generally we are quite well stocked at the back.
I don't think it's the games where we conceded 3 or more goals that will cost us this year, it's the ones we lose instead of draw or draw instead of win because we don't show enough that worry me
