In last week's League Express there was a letter from me about the decline in the mental health of some players when they stop playing the game, some referees when they stop refereeing the game and some supporters as they begin to grow old. My suggestion on how to stop or slow this down is for people to start now by spending time on writing a novel based broadly on their own life, family experiences and memories of their child hood, school days, employment, home town history and their rugby league interest and connections. In last week's League Express there was a letter from me about how mental health can affect players when they retire from playing, referees when they retire from refereeing and supporters generally as they grow old.
My own suggestion to help delay or stop this happening is to spend time writing a novel based broadly on your own life and covering tales from your family and family history, childhood, school days, employment, home town, and your connections with the sport of rugby league.

See the club have launched the Broncos Bar in an attempt to fleece more from fans. For anyone who already paid for membership to secure themselves discounted tickets the club are wanting £200 more (early bird price) to give you 'an unrivalled view of the game' from a padded seat with private bar.
In better news, the club annouce a Fan Village in the south east corner of the ground and the return of Buck and Dusty (why did they ever go away ?).

I see we are moving from the West Stand to the East Stand. Bring your suncream (and sunglasses) as it's nice and Warm over there. I think its the right move because the club are attempting to introduce all the off field stuff and this is the best place to get that to work successfully. Does create quite a separation between Hospitality and the General Crowd but I do think this will create a more engaging environment. The West Stand as a backdrop is far more impressive than the flats, a shame the seats will be empty though. Читать дальше...
