Well if we are looking to pick up a couple from the World Cup it’s been pretty slim pickings so far.

I’d say Nakubawaii showed up well for Fiji yesterday and would be a good pick up for us.

Didn’t really see much from Wakeham to be fair to excite.

Watching AJ Wallace for Jamaica today. Maybe some potential there but not sure he’d be better than Windrow. As the games going on though he looks to be putting in some good tackles and decent runs. Could be worth a look at.

Not only was is good to see Ben make a decent account of himself last night, it was even better to see Lam with Big Mal. Can only bode well to raise our profile even more. Of all the signings Derek has made in all of his stints at the club, this for me is his greatest.

Magic Weekend will be returning to Newcastle in 2023, hosting an entire round of Betfred Super League fixtures on the first weekend in June.

St James' Park will host the event for a record seventh time on June 3 and 4, with all six matches live on Sky Sports as well.

The announcement comes a day after England kicked off the Rugby League World Cup with a 60-6 victory over Samoa in front of 43,119 spectators at the home of Newcastle United.

The Eribe Doro rumor seems to have gathered pace, we just need Craig David to come along and deny its happening now. Rumor seems to be that Gwaze priced himself out of a stay at the club and I would never blame any rugby player trying to get themselves more money but its going to be a shame to see him leave if he does because I think he has had a good impact for us. Replace him with Doro though and that can be seen as a good step forward for us he looked a very good player for Widnes.
