If we had stuck with Brentford and put some marketing effort in maybe we would be playing in SL at their new stadium.
Well it's that time of year to show how well you can predict Super League
Prediction Competition 2022 Rules
Predictions will be made for the 27 rounds of Superleague matches.
Predictions should be made before the first game of the round kicks off, any predictions made after this will only score for any games that haven't started at the time of posting.
As there is golden point in all games this year, the prediction for all games (including playoffs) will be the score after 80 minutes. Читать дальше...
Maybe they’ll change my mind this season and I sincerely hope they do but I’m not sure I’d feel confident going in to a season with Thornley, Bibby and Halsall as our three centres. I guess Pearce-Paul could be a raging success at centre and put a couple of those in the shade but as things stand a new centre would be high on my list of priorities for 2023.
Dependant on who stays/goes and if we have any quota spots, the club will get 12 months to look at a couple of centres in the Championship... Читать дальше...
Our four cards arrived today and all were accurate and ok.
An improved layout too to me.

Back at Wigan next week.
Peet saying we arent going to rush him into action and give him a preseason which I think is wise given what happened last year.
Will be nice to inject a fully fit Bevan French into the team a month or so into the season.
Hopefully in the meantime Field can gain confidence and play his way into the team. I’d love if Field was playing so well French returned on the wing to ease him back in.

Get Hetherington and JJB on Radio 4 at 7.45am
It just seemed to me to be excruciatingly how not to do it.
If ever it projected flat caps and Whippets and Northern that was it. The idea was good, and It was great how they tried to emphasise the inclusivity, the womans RL and the wheelchair sport etc, but those two was not the way to widen the appeal. just listening to them made my squirm in my seat. The guy speaking to them didn't help as he was clueless about the game and seemed to delight in telling them so - was it just me? Читать дальше...
Looks like right now that the south stand will be closed for Haven game. Which probably makes sense if they are expecting reduced gate
What does not make sense is this however
Two seats next to each other in section 102
read about it here (well sort of)

What it fails to mention is that the bloke ran 5 marathons in 7 days to raise the money to buy one of the top players in the world and bring him to Hull for two seasons. He was a good bloke but a typical Aussie coach who came over here full of a professional approach but who found the 'culture' within the British game hard to handle. Good luck to him another sad Fc story to report.

I know Hull don't own the stadium but £28 for an away ticket is daylight robbery?

WP hasn’t made that many signings tbh but the ones he’s done seem good.
The one that sticks out for me is Hall. His signing upset a few and actually I got there point. However you’d be pretty mean spirited to not accept that Hall looks like one of the most natural young centres in the game.
Probably not season ready for SL yet but he’s far more advanced than I expected. I can easily see him pushing hard in 2023 which I wasn’t expecting tbh.
There is a way to go for Hall so no... Читать дальше...

Penrith Panthers’ favourite son Royce Simmons has revealed he has been diagnosed as suffering Alzheimer’s disease at age 61. Typically of the man known as ‘Simmo’, the footy legend wants to use news of his dilemma to enhance the lives of others rather than his own, with a fundraising walk from his hometown of Gooloogong to Penrith in May, coinciding with the Panthers’ home clash with North Queensland.
For a man whose memory is no longer his best friend... Читать дальше...

The fact they are considered failing guarantees their loyalty because they would not merit a cabinet post in any other government.
I wonder what the Mail and Telegraph would make of this if it was Abbott.

Club website has article majoring on Juma saying he’s not taking his match day place for granted. That is good to know but has anyone told him he’s not actually in our 1st team squad unless I missed an announcement and the website is wrong.
