Can't see it, they've been talking up Shaul as a replacement.

We will just have to play to the rules as they stand on Saturday. If things change during the season and the rules are relaxed in France about unvaxed players then there is nothing we can do about it . We just need to get our heads down and put out our strongest team and hopefully come away with a win

Welcome back to the Wire Yed Prediction Competition on what is a tricky opening fixture away to 'Allan' Agar's Leeds. For all those that need all the help they can get (like me), the guess the attendance section is back (250 above and below) with 2pts on offer.
Lets hope the Wire do us proud in this FTA showpiece on C4.
Whilst there's not much of a form book to go on, will Powelly and his new charges have the upper hand against a side that looks to have strengthened across the park and may still be smarting from George's drop?
his bobness comments really made me chuckle. He should be working for Boris and his propaganda team.
I wonder if the Massive plans will include bringing cooper Cronk over and and possibly winning a trophy.
I personally think craven park will eventually be sold for affordable housing.

I am not insecure about being northern - I’m concerned about RL being seen as ‘just’ a northern sport with no appeal or interest in outside of the North and that idea being reinforced.
I’d love to watch brilliant rugby league for £2.
But sadly this offer applies to London v Whitehaven!

It'll be the lizard people on the RFL disciplinary panel. Always had doubts about Paul Cullen..

We'll find out in the coming weeks if last weekend's result was an aberration or exactly this.
Thinking about it in context Kear did ok with the 2019 side and if that hadn't been broken up we could've been more genuine contenders by now. As it was 2021 was almost another rebuild. That's not to downplay the way it ended. The key now is to see in the coming weeks whether that poor form at the end of last year was a trend that's continuing now or not.
I think than once all players are fit Powell will have stronger options in the bench and players missing out of the squad than price had.
However were a bit unknown with the new players coach and without hill. A lot will depend on if the squad buys into Powell's ideas and we can build into the season.
It is good to see reading through that a lot of teams seem to be bringing through some exciting prospects who are getting more game time and really impressing. Wire have a few who this... Читать дальше...

The club has posted the full Super League fixture list on the Trinity website and in case you haven't trawled through them all, the home game v Saints is on Monday 25th July at 3pm. This does seem a very odd day and time for a rugby match as it is not a bank holiday but I can't get a response from ringing the club, so does anyone know the correct fixture details?
I'm pretty certain it's a mistake as we play Saints away on the Bank Holiday Monday 29th August, which does make some sense.

I always find Fleming infuriating. He's like Chris Feather, with his size you'd expect more impact but he seems to stop a metre before contact.
As for the question of fitness and conditioning. It's always telling when you see a player from an SL side take the field with us. They stick out like a sore thumb in terms of body shape. I know we aren't full, full-time but if you are carrying a spare tyre you're going to pay the price in terms of mobility and fitness. Читать дальше...
We are in the same position we are always in,whole sale changes in the close season no continuity not much time to gel.Thought we got beat by a better team who wanted it more and played the conditions,as for Ben we have had him on and off for quite a few years full time,I don't see any improvement in him,he doesn't seem to be able to focus for 80mins and cannot lead us round the park.Dont get me wrong he does try and puts the effort in and a fearless tackler but in my opinion he's not the play maker to take us forward. Well we're going to face a Leigh side who will be pretty fired up after their defeat to Fev. As has been posted on the Sheffield, I expect us to have a response but be "brave losers".

To expect the rule to stay in place I don't think is realistic, TBH I'm a little disappointed in our percentage maybe the club could have done more to encourage and educate the players. The disadvantage is in the fact that we have players unvaccinated not that restrictions are lifted or not.
