Hull FC • Hodgson
Some of the usual suspects on here who lauded Hodgsons arrival now the most vociferous in wanting him out.
Same old, same old.
What is the 'ruling' re players available for this fixture?
We have 1st team players available, are they able to play?
I also don’t know the rules, but I think it’s unfair on those players who have played the majority in the reserves and reached the Grand Final, why deny them a place in that Final. Anyway, would you you fancy playing a Reserve Final against a Wigan side with a load of first team players.

That has to be one of the sh1test performances I've ever seen from an "FC" team . I wouldn't even pay them for that .

I do find this "see what the world cup shows us" a bit mystifying. Surely the vast majority of players already play for a pro-club and any decent scouting network will know what's what out there. For any unknown player that had a decent tournament is a gamble based on a a few good games in a tournament?

That was a dreadfully poor quality game.
Both teams there for the taking, neither really deserved to finish in the top 6.
But again, we found a way.
Thought the pack went pretty well.
Mik, Tet, Martin, Bentley all very good.
Tetevano ran with real aggression, yeh he dropped the ball a couple of times, but I don't mind that if he's gonna run hard and straight.
Plus some very poor distribution from Leeming for a couple of them.
Leeming was dreadful, he doesn't look right. Читать дальше...

Wigan v Huddersfield and Saints v Catalans for me. Catalans have been poor for the last 2-3 months - they won't get by Saints. Wigan and Huddersfield would be a 50/50 game just like the CC final was - I think the week off will be helpful for us though.

Salford then in the next round. We have beaten them twice already this season. We know what we need to do to beat them again- and that’s play the game on our terms our way not theirs. Play good percentage rugby, be patient, and disciplined.
The only question is to pryce or not to pryce. He missed a good few tackles again on Friday. My observations on his game was he seemed to be better at selecting when to take the line on and when not to- BUT he now needs to learn that when he DOES take the line on he sometimes needs to release the ball... Got to be an all time low, surely. Watching Leeds v Cas is painful, SO many mistakes and just seen the first points after 51 minutes. So poor…..

I think we need to stop playing panic rugby & calm down for the second half or we could be seeing next year's potential 1st team beaten by a gang of kids.

Could have won the game in the first 20 mins had they played hard and straight. Instead they decided to play sevens and barely completed a set. Cas are starting to believe they can win. Need to do much, much better.

We also had dummy runners all over the place, something we have not seen since 2014 which is an absolute basic of rugby league.
Hopefully a dominant pack will give us the energy for plenty of life in the attack in the opposition 20.

OK thanks that's a bit clearer now. Although it sounds from what you are saying that us commit 6 members are basically paying in advance for next years ST. So if we were to cancel the DD at the end of this year that would mean we would still qualify for a Season Ticket for the 2023 season - that can't be correct is it ? Like others I'm also intrigued about the North Stand Upper and Lower prices being different ! It'll all come out in the wash I'm sure !!
The Q&A part of the event might be interesting.

I think last night showed again what a gaping hole centre is in the squad, if Wardle is a no go then I hope we're still looking far and wide for one next season
