Promotion and Relgation would work better in a 14 team league in my opinion. Having the championship season finish earlier would give the promoted side a chance to build for longer and it should also be first past the post. That way the strongest possible club is coming up.

Presumably you would want it to be big enough to stage the CC & GF, so you are looking at 50,000 capacity as minimum? Granted it's in London and 60 odd thousand capacity, but Spurs new stadium supposedly cost £1B.
Even at a quarter of that on some northern brownfield site is a hell of commitment.

Went do to BV at lunchtime today for the Lunch, had a good look at the pitch and all the covers removed showing a very green growth. There was a couple of workers on the scaffolding in the North West corner (the big screen I think) very busy around the main building site with lots of holes and trenches being excavated also in the car park, meaning today’s lunch visitors had to park at the far end of car park along side Doncaster Road. Ikahihifo has signed another two years which will see him stay at the giants until the end of the 2025 season. Our forward pack is pretty much sewn up for a while going forward. Would like to see Seb go back into the second row which was where he was originally signed.

I know RU has some real financial difficulties at club level, but its interesting that their cap is at 5 million already. Even taking into account bigger squads it gives an idea of how much more money has been sloshing around RU. There's also a lesson about trying to maintain solvency while growing, even if we did manage to attract a lot of new money.....

I assume we'll start to see announcements after this weekend's games. I wonder if there will be any surprises for us or whether it will just be the players already strongly rumoured to have signed.
Either way next season feels like a bit of a fresh start.

Cooper, Hill, Watkins, Sneyd & McIlorum wouldn't get any minutes for mine.
Pearce-Paul wouldn't play against Samoa either if it wasn't for Bateman's ban.
Young is probably 18th man.
